MCA's existence began March 7th, 1983 by Richard Cortez, once a field technician for Southwestern Bell. It was after the breakup of AT&T, when Cortez and his co-workers could see that layoffs were imminent. It was hard convincing his wife, who was nine months pregnant with their first child, that he was making the right decision to start his own business. His idea to start MCA Communications has since proven to be the right decision.

In our early days we earned a reputation for creating high performance, reliable enterprise communication solutions. Our reputations for product quality and technological innovation are stronger today, even as we've shifted our focus to such areas to include Wireless Solutions, A/V Solution and Electronic Security.
