Voice/Data

Voice & Data Infrastructures

The cable plant infrastructure is the foundation for all integrated building solutions, including Voice, Data, Audio, Video and Electronic Security.

Installation
MCA Communications maintains a professional and expert technical staff for any type of structured cabling installations , whether it is fiber optic, Cat5 (e/E), Cat6 cabling, workstation termination and installation or relocation of infrastructure hardware such as hubs, routers, switches. Our technicians are trained and certified on the specific solution your company is requiring, and will carry out the installation with a minimum of disruption to your existing system and/or office environment.
Trouble-shooting
Businesses in today's marketplace have become increasingly reliant on their communications systems. Any downtime is frustrating and often very expensive. We keep the client's equipment up and running smoothly, minimizing lost revenues. We are able to test and verify pre-installed circuits, providing the client with an immediate, comprehensive report indicating any adverse conditions or foreseeable problems. If MCA Communications originally performed the cabling and equipment installations, we achieve an even faster and more efficient service because we were there when the system went in and won't have to wade through what "the other guys" did before.
Testing

MCA Communications has the "State of the Art" testing equipment, and we make it our responsibility to stay on top of the latest technology. Our ongoing investment in tools and training enables us to offer multiple phases of testing during the installation process. We believe that it is essential to take a multi-phase approach in order to be assured of the quality and reliability of the network we're dealing with, so we make sure to test whatever we're installing before, during and after the installation is complete. In addition, we make it mandatory for our technicians to stay well trained and tested on the latest testing equipment and techniques in the industry.

Documentation

At MCA Communications, we know that unless you have proper records on the usage of every system component, your cabling investment will be greatly diminished. Our technicians detail all cable and equipment locations on your as-built blueprints where available. With our solid documentation in hand, administering your cabling system will be a much smoother and more efficient job.

MCA Communications' Structured Cabling Solutions

A structured cabling system provides a platform upon which an overall information system strategy is built. With a flexible cabling infrastructure, a structured cabling system can support multiple voice, data, video and multimedia systems regardless of their manufacturer.

  • Copper Infrastructure Solutions: Independently verified screened and unscreened data-communication structured cabling solutions, providing ultimate performance and reliability for today's and tomorrows copper infrastructure requirements. Our Cat 5 (Cat 5e/E) or Cat 6 solutions will meet or exceed EIA/TIA standards.
  • Fiber Optic Solutions: Conventional and blown fiber cabling solutions that compliment the deployment of optical solutions deeper into the network delivering a future-proof infrastructure.
  • Specialty Cabling Solutions: Copper and fiber solutions for diverse and environmentally demanding applications such as Mass Transit, Marine, Automotive and Aerospace, that typically require adherence to strict performance criteria.
  • Low-voltage cabling: Solutions that include music and paging systems, CCTV and security systems, fire alarms and access control systems.
Benefits of Structured Cabling

From an investment point of view structured cabling provides an exceptional ROI. A structured cabling system will outlive all other networking components and will require only minimal upgrades. According to International Engineering Consortium:

  • Construction costs for the cabling of the voice, data, and BMS can be reduced by up to 30 percent when integrating the cabling and delivery methods.
  • Moves, changes, rearrangements, and upgrades can be performed more cost-effectively, with a potential savings of 25 to 40 percent for material and labor when using an open-office cabling approach
Additional advantages in using structured cabling:
  • Consistency - Same cables exist everywhere in the building .
  • Support of multi-vendor equipment - You can mix and match vendors .
  • Simplifies Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) - As your company grows and/or moves locations with structured cabling your network resources are always ready to go.
  • Simplifies troubleshooting - With a wired structuring system problems are easier to isolate and fix .
  • Support of future applications - A Cat 5 or even Cat 6 compliant system will support future applications with little (if any) system upgrades.
